Project Background

The First People's Hospital of Kunshan is a Grade III, Class A general hospital centered on medical services and extended to teaching, scientific research, and disease prevention. It strives to develop into a diagnosis and treatment center with distinctive medical specialties. The project is invested in and constructed by Kunshan Yangcheng Lake Culture, Commerce & Tourism Group Co., Ltd., and operated by the hospital itself. The energy station is designed with two 1.5MW internal combustion engines, each paired with a flue gas/hot water-driven lithium bromide absorption chiller. The system operates on a self-consumption electricity model, with the absorption chillers providing cooling in summer and heating in winter, thereby reducing the energy consumption of conventional electric cooling and lowering the hospital's operational expenses.
